The United States failed to issue a visa to the head of the State Duma’s international affairs committee and leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, Leonid Slutsky, to participate in the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, he announced on the “Russia 24” TV channel.
“The high-level week is about to begin. As part of the Russian delegation, I’m the only one who hasn’t received a visa. Probably because I often speak out with real criticism of the United States for their policies, including their support of Israel‘s aggressive actions in the Middle East and beyond,” Slutsky said.
He also noted that this tactic of issuing visas to everyone except him had worked in the past, as he had previously participated in the UN General Assembly.
