On the night of May 18, the stars of Russian show business gathered in the capital’s Crocus City Hall, where the fifth Heat Music Awards were presented. Among the guests of the event was the singer Marina Maksimova, better known as MakSim.
The performer of the hit “Do You Know” walked the red carpet, and in the middle of the evening went up to the stage, where she sang a duet with rapper Yegor Creed and performed her other hits. Thus, the singer finally returned to the big stage after a serious illness she was diagnosed with last year.
In June 2021, MakSim complained of feeling unwell before a concert in Kazan, and upon returning to Moscow, she was hospitalized. Doctors diagnosed the star with pneumonia. Some time later, she was transferred to the intensive care unit and put into a drug-induced sleep.
MakSim was connected to a ventilator, and then ECMO. The artist was discharged only on August 13, after which she had to undergo a long rehabilitation. MakSim’s first solo concert after his illness should take place in Moscow on June 17, 2022. The first performance of the singer who recovered from her illness at a corporate party took place on April 18.
