The Russian market is faced with a shortage of high-speed elevators due to the refusal of foreign companies to accept orders from developers from the Russian Federation. About it informs Forbes.

Large companies producing elevators for skyscrapers (for example, the American Otis) curtailed their activities in Russia. Local enterprises are not yet ready to produce such elevators, so Russian developers are actively looking for new suppliers in Turkey and China.

According to experts, we are talking about elevators for high-budget housing and skyscrapers. Standard housing is unlikely to be affected by the situation.

Director General of the Shcherbinsky Elevator Plant Anton Artemiev said that the demand for elevators has increased significantly, but import substitution has not happened yet.

Every day, Russian enterprises talk about the launch of new developments in the field of import substitution. About it informs TV channel “St. Petersburg”.
