Shoigu took part in a meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Defense

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu took part in a meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Defense, reported in the department’s press office.

“In Moscow, with the participation of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, a meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Defense of Russia was held today at the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation,” stated in the posted message.

In his opening speech, Shoigu informed those present about the results of the department’s activities in a number of areas and noted that much attention is still paid to the interaction between the army and society. The minister added that in Russia “an incredible number of real citizens who are very, very rooting for the country” who do this work.

“I want to talk about everyone and I want to thank everyone Let’s remember everyone and say thank you to everyone who is making every effort today,” — he said.

Shoigu also thanked the members of the council for their active participation in the life of the Russian Armed Forces, work in the field of patriotic education of youth and support for the participants in the special operation and their families.
