Moscow law enforcement officers detained six men and a woman on suspicion of kidnapping and extortion. The incident was reported by the press service of the Moscow Investigative Committee of the Russian Investigative Committee.

According to the investigation, the detained Muscovite quarreled with her husband, after which she turned to her acquaintances so that they would receive from him the large amount of money required by the woman. The perpetrators waited for their victim near the house on Zhigulevskaya Street, beat him and dragged him into a car by force.

Inside the car, the criminals continued to beat the kidnapped and demanded to pay more than 1 million rubles. Then a gang of extortionists brought the man to an apartment on Maly Karetny Lane, where they kept him and continued to extort money. The brother of the victim contacted the police, saying that the relative did not get in touch.

After some time, all seven, including the “customer” of the crime, were detained. The Muscovite pleaded guilty during interrogation. At the moment, all attackers are in custody.
