First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Russia Sergei Kiriyenko arrived in the Belgorod Region. He visited the city of Shebekino, which is shelled every day from Ukraine. This was announced by the Governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov.
“Last night, together with Sergei Vladilenovich and the head of the district, Vladimir Nikolayevich, we went to the settlements of the Shebekinsky district, first, of course, driving into the city. We walked around the city, talked to the residents,” the governor wrote in his Telegram channel.
He added that 2,703 people remain in Shebekino, which borders Ukraine. At the beginning of the year, about 44 thousand people lived in the city. Some residents were evacuated to temporary accommodation centers due to increased shelling.
Last week, Sergei Kiriyenko visited the territories of the Kherson region flooded as a result of the breakthrough of the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, as well as some advanced positions of the Russian army in the DPR.
