Serbian expert appreciated the meeting between the leaders of Russia and China

The meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping laid the foundation for a gradual end to Western global dominance in all areas. This opinion was voiced in an interview with the Serbian national TV channel RTS by Ljubodrag Savic, professor at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Belgrade.

“A new world order is being created and this is perhaps the main result of the visit (Xi Jinping to Moscow). The West is still the strongest player, but it is absolutely clear that in the near future we will see the end of its global dominance in all areas. The time of the East is coming, ”the expert stated.

According to him, despite the fact that during the meeting of the two leaders the issues of economic cooperation were given an important place, the main focus was on something else.

“At the beginning of the special operation, the Chinese hesitated, thinking about what position they should take, and now they understand that they will be next, and this is important for them. The Chinese chairman correctly understood the Russian president that both are the goals of the West, which is pursuing its own interests that are completely contrary to Russian and Chinese,” Savich noted.

According to him, what the West feared most of all has happened, namely the formation of a powerful alliance between Moscow and Beijing, which will not be limited to economic cooperation, but also to political and, most importantly, military.

The economist also dwelled on the dangers of Western sanctions for the Russian economy. He noted that Russia has suffered some damage, but is looking for ways to overcome the difficulties that have arisen in an accelerated mode.

“This meeting showed that Russia has nothing to worry about in the long run. In the short term, there will be problems until all this is resolved. But in the long term, Russia is on the right track and will undoubtedly solve all the problems caused by the actual cessation of cooperation with the countries of the West,” he concluded.
