Preserving natural resources, including fauna, is an important task, so strengthening responsibility for violation of hunting rules must be supported. Alexei Mayorov, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Agrarian Food Policy and Environmental Management, told Parliamentary Newspaper about this.
Earlier, the State Council of Tatarstan submitted to the State Duma a draft federal law that provides for a fine of 2-4 thousand rubles for violation of hunting rules or deprivation of the right to hunt from one to two years. Now the lower limit of the fine is five hundred rubles, and the minimum period for deprivation of the right to hunt has not been established.
Time does not stand still, and such a small fine is no longer able to make hunters be more careful, Alexey Mayorov believes. “Preserving the fauna, our natural resources is extremely important. Therefore, I would support such a bill,” the senator said.
