Scientists from Britain said that the Delta strain doubles the likelihood of hospitalization compared to the Alpha strain


    As reported by with reference to The Lancet Infectious Diseases, the results of the study were obtained after analyzing more than 43.3 thousand cases of infection.

    A research project was carried out in India. As a result, experts found that the “delta” strain was fifty percent more infectious than the “alpha”.

    Also, researchers from England found that the likelihood of re-infection with the “delta” strain is approximately three percent.
