Russian actor, director and artistic director of the Moscow Theater Oleg Tabakov Vladimir Mashkov was suspected of encroaching on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine. In total, the SBU charged the artist under three articles, the agency clarified in its Telegram channel.

The Ukrainian security forces specified that Mashkov became a defendant in the criminal case, allegedly on the basis of the collected evidence.

He was also charged with justifying and recognizing the lawful “Russian armed aggression against Ukraine” and violating the procedure for entering and leaving the “temporarily occupied” territory of the country.

The SBU emphasized that after the start of the special operation, Mashkov repeatedly and publicly supported the Russian military, and he did this at public events with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In social networks, according to the Ukrainian intelligence service, the actor “regularly glorifies” the Russian forces. In addition, the SBU did not like the fact that Mashkov repeatedly called for the entry of Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions into Russia in an interview, and also “illegally” came to Crimea. On the peninsula, the department noted, he participated in propaganda activities.

Mashkov, according to the Ukrainian security officials, is part of the inner circle of the top military-political leadership of the Russian Federation. The SBU promised that they would bring the actor to justice.
