Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali unveiled the poster of the OTT debut series Heeramandi on Saturday. Glimpses of Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Samreen Sehgal and Sanjeeda Sheikh were seen in this. The discussion of this post has spread on social media. And now the filmmaker has paid a tribute to Indian cinema classics ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ and ‘Pakeezah’ with the story of ‘Hiramandi’ revolving around the lives of courtesans.
According to PTI, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, during a conversation with Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos, said, ‘Heeramandi’ has nuances, which you feel are found in the great Kamal Amrohi’s ‘Pakeezah’. ‘Hiramandi’ is my tribute to the great ‘Mughal-e-Azam’, ‘Pakeezah’ and Mehboob Khan Sahab’s ‘Mother India’.”

Two posts of Hiramandi have been shared on the Instagram handle of Sanjay Leela Bhansali Production, in which the look of Sonakshi Sinha to Manisha Koirala in golden and yellow outfits in one poster is making the fans crazy. Whereas in the second poster, the beauty of the actresses is being seen in black outfits. Apart from this, glimpse videos of each Haseena are being seen in the teaser released by Netflix.
Set against the tumultuous backdrop of the 1940s Indian freedom struggle, Sanjay Leela Bhansani’s Sanjay Leela Bhansani series explores the cultural reality of a glitzy district through the stories of “hiramandi” courtesans and their patrons, starring Manisha Koirala. , Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Sehgal and Sanjeeda Sheikh are seen in the lead roles.
