
Soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces help civilians in the Donetsk People’s Republic to restore an Orthodox church destroyed after shelling by Ukrainian militants. This is stated in the article Izvestia.
It is known that as a result of intensive artillery and mortar shelling by the Ukrainian armed forces, the church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker was damaged. Assistance to local residents in the restoration of the structure is provided by Russian military personnel of the Brave group.
It is reported that at the moment they are engaged in the first stage of the restoration of the Orthodox church. The servicemen helped to clear the rubble and removed various fragments of furniture and decorations from the building. It is known that because of the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the dome of the church was destroyed. It is also planned to be restored. At the same time, some icons that suffered from the aggression of the Ukrainian military cannot be saved.
Recently, the Armed Forces of Ukraine once again shelled the territory of Donetsk. It is reported that the Kyiv district of the city fell under the blow of the Ukrainian military, on which the militants fired about 40 shells.
