Russian troops destroyed a Ukrainian military warehouse storing rocket and artillery ammunition and military equipment in Sumy region, the Defense Ministry reported.
“During reconnaissance operations in the area of the Nizhnya Syrovatka settlement, five kilometers south of Sumy, the Russian Armed Forces identified a large storage facility for rocket and artillery ammunition and military equipment belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Following a thorough analysis of the obtained reconnaissance data and confirmation of the activity of Ukrainian nationalist formations in the area, a decision was made to launch a pinpoint strike against the Ukrainian military facility,” the report reads.
As a result of the precision strike carried out by the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile complex, a hangar storing artillery ammunition and enemy weapons was destroyed. Objective control means observed a prolonged secondary detonation and subsequent complete burning of the object at the site, the authorities specified.
