Russian Korneeva won the junior Roland Garros – Kommersant

Russian Alina Korneeva defeated Peruvian Luciana Perez Alarcon in the final of the junior French Open. The game ended with the score 7:6 (7:4), 6:3 in favor of Korneeva.

Korneeva 15 years old. She is ranked 331st by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). The Russian woman won the second junior Grand Slam tournament – in the same year she won the Australian Open.

Later today, June 10, Korneeva, along with Japanese Sara Saito, will play in the final of the junior Roland Garros in the women’s doubles. Their rivals will be Americans Clervie Ngunu and Tyra Katerina Grant.
