Russian, Iranian and Chinese exercises to be held in the Arabian Sea

The active stage of the trilateral naval exercise of Russia, China and Iran with practical artillery firing begins in the Arabian Sea on Thursday. The joint exercise “Marine Security Belt – 2023” is taking place in the waters of the Arabian Sea in the area of ​​the Iranian port of Chahbahar.

Russia is represented at the exercise by a detachment of ships from the Northern Fleet, consisting of the Admiral Gorshkov frigate and the Kama medium sea tanker, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

The Russian military department said that the ships of the Northern Fleet will work out joint actions with the destroyer of the naval forces of the People’s Liberation Army of China “Nanjing”, the frigates “Sakhand” and “Jamaran”, the corvette “Bayandor” and other ships and vessels of the naval Iranian forces.
