Russian business asks to change the criminal code

The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) sent an important proposal for the entire business of the country to the Ministry of Justice, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Duma. We are talking about the decriminalization of ten economic articles of the Criminal Code, about which today, March 9 report “Vedomosti”.

The organization is confident in the need to reduce criminal and administrative pressure on entrepreneurs. The vice-president of the RSPP is convinced of this Alexander Varvarin.

According to the representative of the Union, a number of economic crimes can and should be transferred from the criminal to the administrative plane. That is, violators will face fines.

The RSPP is confident in the need to decriminalize the following articles:

· 171st on illegal business activities;

· 193.1, dedicated to the performance of foreign exchange transactions for the transfer of funds in foreign currency or the currency of Russia to the accounts of non-residents using false documents;

· Part 1 Art. 251 on violation of the rules for the emission of pollutants into the atmosphere;

· Part 1 Art. 159, concerning the theft of another’s property by deceit or breach of trust without causing significant damage;

· Part 1 Art. 147 on illegal use of the invention, utility model.
