Russian authorities want to oblige children to participate in socially useful work

A draft law has been submitted to the State Duma of Russia, in which it is proposed to oblige schoolchildren to participate in socially useful work. Duma deputies proposed to oblige schoolchildren to do useful work back in January.

“A draft has been submitted to the State Duma, which proposes to oblige schoolchildren to participate in socially useful work,” the document says. RIA Novosti received access to the material.

Earlier, a member of the State Duma Committee on Defense, Lieutenant General Viktor Sobolev, proposed creating an initial military training program for students in grades 9-11. According to him, it would include courses in the handling of small arms and visits to shooting ranges.
