
Russian and Latvian writer Andrei Levkin has died at the age of 69. The cause and circumstances of the death of the writer and journalist were not disclosed.
Levkin was born in Riga in 1954. In the 1980-1990s, the man served as editor in the Russian edition of the Riga progressive literary magazine Rodnik. In 1994, Andrei Levkin won the Small Booker Prize as “the best Russian-language literary magazine in the near abroad.”
