Principles of BRICS partnership are a guarantee of building a more just world order, delegations from various countries at summit in Kazan on October 22-24 will confirm this with their decisions, said Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic promised on October 20-21 to announce whether he would attend the BRICS summit saying that any decision would be turned against him by opponents.
So far, he has not announced whether he has accepted the invitation, which Russian leader Vladimir Putin asked Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Vulin to convey at the Eastern Economic Forum.
Russian ambassador spoke in an author’s text on Sunday in a special issue of oldest Serbian newspaper “Politika”, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Belgrade’s liberation during World War II.
“Let the enemies know that the unity of states and peoples representing Global Majority today is a guarantee of building a more honest and just world order, based on the polycentric nature of international life, UN Charter, and other universal legal norms, on mutual respect and partnership. All these fundamental principles are embodied by BRICS, whose summit will take place very soon – on October 22-24 – in the Russian city of Kazan,” the Russian ambassador noted.
He also expressed confidence that the high-level delegations from several dozen powers gathering at the summit “will adopt a series of landmark decisions, which will also reflect the post-war balanced concept of United Nations.”
From October 22 to 24, the BRICS countries’ summit will be held in Kazan with the participation of heads of state. Authorities of Tatarstan previously reported that a large number of foreign delegations would arrive in Kazan – 33 countries have confirmed their participation in BRICS summit, including 24 at the level of first persons.
