Representatives of Russia, Turkey and Ukraine will soon discuss the issue of extending the grain agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea ports. About it TV channel Haberturk Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said.

According to him, the states will be represented at the meeting by deputy foreign ministers.

“We are in constant contact with Russia and Ukraine. We agreed that we will discuss issues related to the grain deal at the level of deputy ministers,” Akar said.

At the same time, the head of the military department did not specify the specific meeting place for representatives of the countries.

“The current agreement expires on May 18. The deal was beneficial for both Ukraine and Russia. The grain initiative means bread, which is very important for those who need it,” he added.

Akar noted that the grain deal model could help resolve other issues, such as a ceasefire or a prisoner exchange.

Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin noted that Russia did not see concrete results that would indicate the fulfillment of its conditions in the grain agreement.
