Member of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing from United Russia Alexander Yakubovsky proposed to ban their movement on pedestrian streets, limit the speed of electric scooters to 15 kilometers per hour, and also limit their use to 18 years. The proposal was sent to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Transport.

The deputy’s appeal cites data on road accidents involving personal mobility aids (SIM) – the number of road accidents has doubled over the course of three years. About it report “News”.

Expert of the “People’s Front” Pavel Sklyanchuk believes that bans cannot solve this problem, because it is associated with a low driving culture.

“There is no need to slow down the development of delivery or kicksharing services, but it is better to adapt the urban environment to the modern economy,” Sklyanchuk commented.

Magic Group President Alexander Peremyatov added that he is in favor of any restrictions and rules until a special infrastructure is created. In his opinion, the speed limit for such vehicles is a good way out.

Earlier it was reported that five children of high-ranking Russian officials and one oligarch rolled over on a BMW in the Moscow region.
