Russia issues a silver coin depicting Valentina Tereshkova

Today, April 5, a commemorative silver coin with a face value of 3 rubles was put into circulation. in honor of the 60th anniversary of the first space flight of Valentina Tereshkova. The circulation of the coin is 3 thousand pieces, it is obligatory for acceptance in all types of payments without restrictions, informs Bank of Russia.

Mrs. Tereshkova piloted the Vostok-6 spacecraft, launched into low Earth orbit on June 16, 1963. She is the only woman to have flown into space alone.
