Russia is ready for peace, but the West wants the conflict to escalate. This statement was made by Russian Ambassador to London Andrey Kelin.

As he noted in an interview with the BBC, the duration of the Ukrainian conflict depends on the efforts to escalate it, undertaken by NATO countries and the UK in particular.

“Sooner or later, of course, this escalation may take on a new dimension that we don’t need or want. We can make peace tomorrow,” Kelin said.

At the same time, the diplomat said that Moscow “has not yet begun to act seriously” in the framework of the special operation, recalling that it has “colossal” resources.
