Russia has completed testing of new radar systems for space control

The Russian Federation has completed state tests of a new radar station, which allows monitoring small satellites in Earth orbit. This was announced by the General Director of IAC “Vympel” Sergey Boev.

“The state tests of a specialized radar station have been successfully completed, which made it possible to conduct constant and high-quality control over the operation of small satellites – spacecraft, as well as space debris elements in a small near-Earth orbit,” Boev said at the Army-2022 forum.

According to him, now the final stage of testing is undergoing a lot of devices for controlling outer space. With their help, Russia will significantly expand the zone of control and improve the quality of information about the situation in near-Earth space.
