Moscow does not recognize the DPRK as a nuclear state and calls for the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. This was stated by Igor Vishnevetsky, Deputy Director of the Department for Non-Proliferation and Arms Control of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“Russia does not recognize the DPRK as a nuclear state, nor any other country that is not recognized as such in accordance with the NPT (Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. — Note. Life)“, — he told reporters.
Russia calls for the speedy denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. At the same time, Moscow, he recalled, has repeatedly said that the sanctions pressure on Pyongyang has exhausted itself, because it is obvious that the DPRK authorities will not make unilateral concessions. First of all, the Russian diplomat drew attention, the restrictions are hitting ordinary residents of North Korea.
