The symptoms of COVID-19 have changed. Now patients often complain of sore throat, fever and weakness than loss of smell. This was reported in your Telegram channel Rospotrebnadzor.
“Loss of smell, which was a hallmark of the coronavirus, is now extremely rare,” the department said.
The most common symptoms of the disease, namely the Omicron strain, were a slight fever, a feeling of itching and sore throat, cough, weakness and muscle pain. Many patients are treated at home, because in most cases the disease is mild.
In total, 25,815 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in Russia per day, 2,525 people were hospitalized, which is 5.3% less compared to August 10.
The country recorded six cases of the disease with a hybrid of strains “omicron” and “delta” – “deltacron”. All patients had mild disease at home.
