Romania discusses with the US an increase in American presence

WASHINGTON, 8 Nov – Romania is discussing with the United States an increase in the US presence in the country through NATO, said Romanian Foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu.
“First of all, we will discuss how to deepen our remarkable political and security cooperation, emphasize the importance of close coordination for negotiations on a new NATO Strategic Concept, to further consolidate our deterrent and defense positions along the entire eastern flank, especially in the Black Sea. as well as the (importance of) growing US presence in the region, including Romania, “Aurescu said before meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
