Young wicketkeeper-batsman Richa Ghosh is the only Indian among the nine players selected for the Women’s T20 World Cup ‘Player of the Tournament’. The 19-year-old wicketkeeper shone as a finisher with the bat in the tournament. He played innings of more than 40 runs twice during this period. In this, his innings of 47 not out against England brought the Indian team close to victory.

He scored 168 runs at an average of 68, remaining not out twice in five innings. During this, his strike rate was around 130. He also impressed with his work behind the wicket. Richa caught England opener Danny Wyatt by taking a brilliant catch.

The ICC (International Cricket Council) list is dominated by players from Australia, with three from the defending champions, two from England and two from South Africa. One player each from India and West Indies is a part of it.
