The hopes of Western politicians for the collapse of Russia due to sanctions do not come true

MOSCOW, 26 Mar — The hopes of Western politicians for the collapse of Russia due to sanctions do not come true; instead, new prospects for cooperation with China have opened up for Moscow, the German newspaper writes. Berliner Zeitung.
The author of the material called this business park “the center of the business world of China in Russia.” “Numerous Chinese businessmen and managers, including many young people under the age of 40, move between six-story office towers on a 20-hectare site,” he writes.
The Russian-Chinese trade turnover, the article also notes, increased by 29 percent compared to the previous year, and this trend is growing, as are the volumes of Chinese investments, increasing by a third, to $200 million.
“In the spring of 2023, the Chinese language will be heard more often on the streets and squares of Moscow than English or German. The Chinese are increasingly occupying the places left by immigrants from the West,” the author concludes, quoting the Russian proverb “A holy place is never empty.”
Chinese President Xi Jinping was in Russia on March 20-22 on a state visit, which was his first trip abroad after being re-elected as head of state for a third term. On Monday, he had an informal meeting with Vladimir Putin; on Tuesday, Russian-Chinese talks were held with the participation of delegations. The delegation of the Chinese leader, among others, included Cai Qi, member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Wang Yi, head of the office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee, and Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang.
