RF IC opened a case against blogger Valery Chekalina on tax evasion

Moscow, March 7, 2023, 11:23 — REGNUM The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on non-payment of taxes for 300 million rubles against a blogger Valeria Chekalina and her spouse. This was reported to TASS on March 7 by a representative of the Moscow GSU SK Julia Ivanova.

According to a representative of the investigative department, the Russian Investigative Committee for Moscow is investigating a criminal case on the grounds of crimes, in particular, under the article evasion and aiding in tax evasion from an individual.

The investigation believes that from July 2020 to July 2022, Chekalina, being an individual entrepreneur, exceeded the allowable income limit of 150 million rubles a year, having received funds from the provision of services for the implementation of fitness marathons in a larger amount.
