Podolsk residents celebrated the anniversary of the reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia. The solemn event took place on the Square of Glory.
“Celebrations are being held all over the country on the occasion of the reunification of Crimea with Russia, and, of course, Podolsk could not stand aside,” said the deputy head of the city. Podolsk Tatiana Ropot.
Leading soloists and creative teams of the district performed at the festive concert.
“We have prepared, accordingly, traditional Cossack music, which is especially important now, because the Crimea is ours, guys,” said Sergey Bychkov, choirmaster of the Lenok folklore ensemble.
Students, Yunarmiya members and activists of public organizations unfurled the flag of Russia at the holiday, the area of which amounted to a thousand square meters.
“I am in a great mood, I am glad that we have reunited with the Crimea, that we do not leave our own, they are with us! Crimea is Russia! And the weather is so happy with us,” shared a resident of the city of o. Podolsk Elena.
“We must feel like one people, one nation, one country. And this is very important in our difficult, turbulent time,” said Mikhail, a resident of Podolsk.
Also, as part of the Russian Tricolor campaign, volunteers distributed ribbons to residents.
Earlier, Andrey Vorobyov awarded a volunteer from Podolsk for heroism.
