Residents of Perm were the first to see the film “Frau” by Perm director Lyubov Mulmenko. The film was previewed as part of the opening of the Perm Cinematheque, and a wide release is planned for March 2024, TASS reports. Previously, the film won two awards at the Mayak festival of contemporary Russian cinema.

“Permians were the first to see the film “Frau” directed by Lyubov Mulmenko. The main roles were played by Elizaveta Yankovskaya and Vadim Korolev. The pre-screening took place in Perm as part of the opening of the Perm Cinematheque. The film’s wide release is scheduled for March 2024,” reports TASS.

The artistic director of the Perm Cinematheque, documentary director Pavel Pechenkin congratulated him on the film, which has “good quality of direction.” “We have the story of Cinderella – Lyuba Mulmenko, who was born in Perm, but later turned into the princess of our national cinema. The definition of the main characters, their texture and manner of communication are very important. This is the style of a master, found in all good directors,” he emphasized.

Earlier in Gelendzhik, the results of the Mayak festival of contemporary Russian cinema were summed up. Perm director and screenwriter Lyubov Mulmenko’s film “Frau” received two awards. The performance of the female role and the script of the film were recognized as the best.
