Residents of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug are actively applying for new mortgages, despite the rising cost of loans. Residents of Yugra are trying to approve loans from banks now, fearing another increase in the key rate by the Central Bank. URA.RU discussed the situation with Vasily Rasstegaev, a realtor of the Etazhi company from Nizhnevartovsk.
“There is no decline in demand for consultations. Even new clients are actively coming, because there is a possibility of further growth in December [ключевой] rates. Naturally, mortgages will rise again. Not by much, but, according to statements, it is likely to be raised,” explains the realtor.
The Central Bank raised its key rate by two percentage points to 15% at the end of October. Before this, the Central Bank increased it in August to 12%, and a month later – to 13%. Accordingly, banks also raised their lending rates. “But we are not seeing the cooling in demand that we expected,” adds Rasstegaev.
Earlier, URA.RU reported that residents of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug rushed to buy apartments with approved mortgages. The increase in the number of transactions was also spurred by new lending conditions.
