
Vladlen Menshikov, a resident of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, who tried to commit sabotage on a section of the railway in Nizhnevartovsk, was charged with collaborating with foreigners against the security of the Russian Federation and publicly calling for terrorism. The information is reported by the TASS agency.
“Menshikov is currently charged with Part 3 of Art. 30, part 1, art. 281 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Attempted sabotage”, art. 275.1 “Cooperation with a foreign state, international or foreign organization in activities knowingly directed against the security of Russia” and art. 205.2 “Public calls for terrorist activities,” TASS said, citing the press service of the Sverdlovsk Regional Court. Initially, a resident of Menshikov was accused only of sabotage.
Earlier, URA.RU reported that the FSB detained a resident of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug who was trying to sabotage a section of the railway in Nizhnevartovsk. A criminal case has been initiated. According to investigators, the man was an ideological opponent of the SVO in Ukraine.
