Media reports of large stocks of tires in Russia led to a decrease in rubber prices. About this in an interview with Sputnik radio declared automotive expert, presenter of the “Ministry of Transport” program on “Ren-TV” Vyacheslav Subbotin.
“Rubber prices have already dropped. There was a price jump when the world leaders in tire production began to leave the Russian market en masse, and then prices went down. <...> Now there will be no jumps or price increases. There will also be no reduction, he said.
The expert added that Russians start buying winter tires in October or November, which is why their prices have already stabilized. Moreover, it was possible to come to this at the expense of domestic rubber production. The chemical products needed for the manufacture of tires are Russian, Subbotin emphasized. The specialist also noted that Moscow sent oil products even to the world leaders in the production of rubber, and there were no countries that would import it to us.
