The leaders of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Tigray (TPLF) party agreed to the proposal of the African Union to start peace talks with the government of Ethiopia. They should start next weekend. This was reported Reuters.

In November 2020, the Ethiopian authorities announced a military operation due to an attack on the government of the Tigray Popular Liberation Front, which dominated the political life of Ethiopia until 2012.
