RBC: Russia Partners investment fund to sell 40% stake in Banki.ru

Investment fund Russia Partners is going to sell 40% of shares in the financial marketplace “Banki.ru”. The sale of shares is also being considered by the Winter Capital fund, associated with Vladimir Potanin’s Interros, and the Elbrus Capital fund. The deal was advised by Renaissance Capital. This was reported RBC with reference to sources.

According to RBC interlocutors, the cost of 100% of Banki.ru is estimated at 15 billion rubles. ($198.8 million at the exchange rate of the Central Bank on March 13). The sources also said that the value of the asset could vary by 14-16 billion rubles. or 13-16 billion rubles. The value of Russia Partners shares may be $68.4-84.8 million.

In 2013, Russia Partners acquired a 30% stake in Banki.ru from the Finam investment holding. The transaction value was $6 million (RUB 190 million at the average exchange rate for 2013). In 2014, the fund acquired another 10% of the company. As follows from the SPARK-Interfax data, Banki.ru is 100% owned by the Cypriot Banki.ru Holding Ltd., its beneficiaries are hidden. According to Vedomosti, 40.2% of the Cypriot structure is owned by Russia Partners.
