The forces of the Black Sea Fleet, according to preliminary data, are repelling a drone attack on the outer roadstead of Sevastopol, reported city governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.
“Loud sounds are in the outer roadstead above the water area. According to preliminary information, the Black Sea Fleet is repelling a UAV attack,” the governor wrote.
Later, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that two unmanned boats had been hit by fire, as well as a complex of anti-mine and anti-sabotage measures being carried out by the military in the area of Sevastopol Bay.
Drone attacks on Sevastopol have become more frequent since last summer. The last time Razvozhaev reported about an attack by underwater sabotage forces and means on the city was on October 24.
A week before, on October 18, he reported that the Black Sea Fleet had repelled attacks from air targets. Razvozhaev later clarified that a missile was shot down near Kara-Koba in the Balaklava region, and the warhead detonated on the ground in a field.
