Putin told how he wanted to visit the President of Iran

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that while flying over the territory of Iran, he wanted to visit the country’s President Ebrahim Raisi. But he was unable to do this because the Iranian leader was about to fly to Moscow.

“Yesterday, you know, I was there in the neighboring region. And he flew directly over the territory of your country and wanted to land and meet directly in Tehran,” Putin said during a meeting with the President of Iran, which was broadcast on the Rossiya-24 TV channel. He added that he could not do this because Raisi was already preparing to fly to the Russian capital.
