Putin said Ukrainian losses were eight times higher than Russian ones

During the counteroffensive, Ukraine lost eight times more troops than Russia. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this in an interview with the China Media Corporation.

“The counter-offensive has continued since June 4. There are no results yet, only huge losses. The losses are simply huge – approximately one in eight, if in ratio,” said Vladimir Putin. His words are quoted by the website Kremlin.

He also noted that during negotiations in Turkey in 2022, Ukraine and Russia agreed to resolve the conflict peacefully. However, after the Russian army withdrew from Kyiv, “the Ukrainian side immediately threw all these agreements into the oven,” the head of Russia shared. After this, Kiev announced that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would follow the path of strategic defeat of Russia. To do this, the Ukrainian army launched a counteroffensive, which did not bring results.
