Russian President Vladimir Putin, commenting on the actions of the Ukrainian armed forces that mined hospital facilities in Mariupol, said that “normal people don’t do that.” The words of the head of state are quoted by TASS.
As reported by Parliamentary Newspaper, the Russian leader visited Donbass for the first time. In Mariupol, he was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin. Earlier, he also held a meeting at the command post of the special operation in Rostov-on-Don.
The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers said that he visited the hospital immediately after the liberation of the city and saw how refugees lived in neighboring rooms, there were patients and operations were being carried out. “All medical devices and equipment – everything was mined,” he stressed.
“Normal people don’t do that,” Putin commented. According to the President, work on the construction of modern and comfortable housing will continue in Mariupol.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Construction, Irek Fayzullin, said in an interview with Parlamentskaya Gazeta that it would take two years or a little more to actively work to restore the cities destroyed during the special operation in four new Russian regions. He noted that this is a conditional term, given that hostilities are still ongoing in these territories and the destruction of infrastructure and capital facilities continues.
