Russia and China are setting the task of multiplying the volume of mutual trade. This follows from the documents signed by the parties to the documents, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a press statement following the Russian-Chinese talks. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
During the meeting, the head of state stressed that by the end of 2022, it was possible to increase the volume of trade in more than 41% of goods. According to him, the strategic direction of the Russian-Chinese partnership is agriculture. There are opportunities for a significant increase in exports of meat, grain and other products to China, Putin noted.
In turn, Xi Jinping said that trade between Russia and China has grown by 116 percent in ten years. Speaking about the further development of cooperation with the Russian Federation, the Chinese leader noted that he had agreed with Putin to establish comprehensive planning in trade, including in the IT sector, trade in resources, TASS reports.

On Tuesday, the Kremlin hosts talks between Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping in narrow and broad formats. It is expected that two joint statements will be signed as a result of them: on the deepening of the strategic partnership and on the plan for the development of key areas of economic cooperation until 2030. As a result of the visit of the Chinese delegation to Moscow, it is planned to sign more than 10 documents.
