Russian President Vladimir Putin proposes launching a comprehensive program for the modernization of housing and communal services, the implementation of which will require more than four and a half trillion rubles. He made a statement about this at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
“I propose to launch a comprehensive program for the modernization of housing and communal services. The task is to radically change the situation. The housing and communal sector in the Russian Federation is underinvested by 4.5 trillion rubles,” he noted, the event was broadcast on Rossiya 24.
The program will include a major overhaul of the housing stock. The main goal is to reduce the share of legacy networks. The head of state promised to talk about this in detail with the governors of the regions at the presidium of the State Council.
