Putin instructed to fix the increase in the tax deduction for the education of children by May 1

Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the Cabinet of Ministers by May 1 to legislatively ensure an increase in social tax deductions for the education of children from 50 to 110 thousand rubles. This follows from the list of instructions of the head of state, published on the Kremlin website.

The instruction also concerns an increase in the deduction for treatment and the purchase of medicines from 120,000 to 150,000 rubles.

It should be noted that the relevant bill was submitted to the State Duma on February 22, it is proposed to make changes to Article 219 of the second part of the Tax Code.

The head of state made proposals to increase these social tax deductions as part of his Address to the Federal Assembly on February 21. Putin explained that the state would return 13 percent of the increased amounts to citizens from the income tax they paid.
