The foreign intelligence service should not weaken its attention to the security of Russians abroad. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the headquarters of the Foreign Intelligence Service, RIA Novosti reports.
Listing the priority tasks for foreign intelligence, the head of state named, among other things, countering terrorism. Another key vector of the work of the Foreign Intelligence Service is obtaining information that contributes to the industrial development of the country under sanctions, Putin stressed. This is especially important in the context of sanctions.
Another priority of the service is forecasting the development of international processes. The collective West drove itself into a trap because it was unable to analyze the development of the situation in the world and the weakening of its influence, the president explained.
At the same time, Putin said that he would dedicate one of his next public speeches to the situation in the world. This needs a separate discussion, he said.
