Putin discussed information security with members of the Security Council – Kommersant

Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with permanent members of the Security Council. The topic of the meeting was ensuring information security. This was reported by press service Kremlin.

“Today we have an important and very relevant issue—not only, by the way, for our country, but for us in particular, especially considering the current situation—the issue of increasing the effectiveness of measures to ensure Russia’s information security,” Vladimir Putin said at open part of the meeting.

The President asked Vladimir Selin, Director of the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control, to make a report.

Experts record the growth of the domestic market for information security solutions in all areas. We are talking about 90% of Russian developments at the country’s enterprises (at the end of 2022, this figure reached 70%). The revenue of Russian companies operating in the information security market has doubled and reached 220–230 billion rubles.
