Protesters in Chisinau go to the presidential building and parliament

The day before, on May 1, in Chisinau, deputy leader of the Shor party, Marina Tauber, was once again detained and placed in the pre-trial detention center of the national anti-corruption centre. On Tuesday (May 2nd), the district court in the Moldovan capital ordered the politician to be placed under house arrest for 20 days. Political analysts in Chisinau point out that the ruling Party of Action and Solidarity (PDS), which controls all state institutions, including the police, the Attorney General’s Office and the courts, pressured the opposition to disrupt the protest atmosphere with these actions.
