The grace period for registering real estate in Crimea was proposed to be extended until January 1, 2025. Such amendments to the Tax Code were developed by a group of deputies from United Russia. The document was published in the electronic database of the State Duma.

We are talking about the extension of the provisions of the Tax Code, according to which the state duty for the state registration of previously arisen rights of citizens and legal entities to real estate is not paid. The transition period was initially valid from March 2014 to January 1, 2017, then was extended until January 1, 2023.

“However, so far, the procedures for registering the rights of citizens and legal entities to land plots in the two new constituent entities of the Russian Federation have not been fully implemented,” the explanatory note states. The authors of the initiative emphasize that the transition from the Ukrainian sphere of legislation to the Russian legal field takes considerable time for citizens.

The extension of the fee relief period will encourage citizens to complete the process of registration of rights, the documents say. The amendments make it possible to synchronize the timing of the completion of measures to integrate the Crimean region into the economic and legal systems of Russia.
