In Perm, prices for finished apartments increased in October 2023. Secondary housing became more expensive by 3.1%, according to analysts from the World of Apartments service.
“Apartments on the secondary market are becoming more expensive throughout the country following the market for new buildings, which has risen on the wave of cheap mortgages. The average price of a lot in Perm increased by 3.1% and amounts to 5.1 million rubles. A square meter became more expensive by 3.7%. On average, its cost is 97.9 thousand rubles,” said the analysts’ study.
The cost of apartments on the secondary market increased the most in the country in Makhachkala (+14.9%). In second place is Magnitogorsk (14.7%). Cheboksary (+11.8%) closes the top 3 in terms of price growth. Analysts note that sellers are guided by prices in new buildings. Those who bought real estate in a new residential complex tend to sell their old apartment at a higher price in order to cover most of the moving costs. Prices were also affected by the situation with an increase in mortgage rates, which greatly accelerated the demand and cost of housing.
Earlier, URA.RU told how much Perm residents need to pay extra to move from a one-room apartment to a three-room apartment. According to analysts, the difference between prices is 95%.
