Prices for housing and communal services will increase in Russia due to the installation of gas sensors

In Russia, they proposed installing gas sensors with automatic shut-off during major renovations in apartments. Due to this, the price of housing and communal services may increase. The Izvestia newspaper reports this.

“During major renovations, it was proposed to install gas sensors with automatic shut-off in apartments. Every month in the Russian Federation there are at least two domestic gas explosions, and gas leaks are recorded even more often. If apartment sensors become part of a building-wide gas leakage protection system, management companies will be responsible for it,” said in the article. It is noted that these expenses may be included in the house maintenance bill.

Previously, Russian banks opposed the abolition of fees for housing and utility services. According to representatives of credit institutions, this will negatively affect the operation of payment services and affect bank transfers.
